Project Description

The Rhosonics emulsion separation scanner is a measurement system that can monitor and log a separation proces in time. The emulsion is located in a vertical cylinder. During the measurement ultrasound tranducers are moved up and down the cylinder and the system records the reflection and transmission signals. From these signals several material constants are derived.  This results in a very detailed log of the separation process.

For the emulsion separation scanner Nesto R&D has developed in LabVIEW:

  • A touchscreen UI to operate the system and display the results in realtime
  • The LabVIEW driver for the Stober motion control
  • Modbus communication with the customers electronics
  • Logging and report generation
