For TNO and Bronkhorst Nesto R&D has modelled an ultrasound measurement using Matlab. First the model was constructed in Matlab. Then the material constants were varied by the introduction of heat. Simulations of the heat transfer where produced by another TNO depertment and inserted in the model. Next, all important flowsensor characteristics (minimum and maximum flowvelocity, minimum and maximum flowvolume) where researched. This resulted in constraints for the physical setup of individual sensor parts. The research was then used as a basis for the construction of the Muflow sensor.
